My Interior Design Philosophy

The difference is in the details

For nearly 20 years I have collaborated with my clients to design beautiful, comfortable, and timeless homes that reflect their personal style. With an undergraduate degree in business I returned to UC Berkeley to take classes in interior design, where I honed design skills which began in my early years living on the east coast.

I believe that a real collaboration between homeowner and designer will result in the creation of personal, unique interiors that will offer comfort and enjoyment for many years. What I strive to create with my clients is a home that will stand up to the everyday use of a busy lifestyle, a home you will enjoy returning to each and every day. The interior decorator service I provide is exceptional, with keen attention to detail and excellent follow-up, as I work to give clients the freedom to enjoy their lives while I focus on each step of the project.

Good design is an option in any budget and I help clients make informed decisions about their home. I respect your investment and work to create rooms that will add long-term value to your home and your life. I offer creative, cost-effective designs and expert product knowledge that will make your investment, whether it is home furnishings or a new kitchen, enjoyable for many years.

I find that working with homeowners who seek thoughtful design, attention to detail, and a personalized home is a joyful creative process. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you about your project goals.

We worked with Sarah Evers Hoffman to update the living room and family room of our 1903 home and to select paint color throughout. She helped us to mix more contemporary, clean-lined furnishings with our family antiques, with beautiful results. Sarah’s meticulous attention to detail, her eye for color and fabric, and her willingness to search out the perfect choice in any situation were all remarkable. She was a pleasure to work with!
